Following yesterday's leak that revealed the specs of the Xperia Z3, a new set of images have surfaced that give us a look at the design of the device.

From the images, a major difference in the design of the Xperia Z3 from its predecessors appears to be curved sides, which should make the device more comfortable to hold. Other than that, the design is largely unchanged from the Xperia Z1 and the Z2, as the device in the leaked images features a magnetic connector, micro-SIM slot, microSD slot, rounded power button, dedicated camera shutter key and a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top.

Other than the 3.5mm jack, all the ports are covered, which means that the Xperia Z3 will likely offer similar protection against dust and water as the Xperia Z1/Z2. Am image of the camera sensor reveals that Sony is sticking with the 20.7 MP Exmor RS image sensor that was seen on the last two Xperia Z handsets.

The design showcased in these images may be of a prototype unit, and as such may not be indicative of what the retail model would look like. As for an official launch, it is estimated that Sony would unveil the Xperia Z3 at the IFA later this year. What do you think of the device in question?
